ARTIST STATEMENT

JANE FASSE ARTIST'S STATEMENT

With my garden as a constant source of inspiration, I am able to explore infinite possibilities and combination that reveal patterns, layers, balance, rhythm - in other words life’s design. Each image is a meditation. Each image answers questions and creates many, many more. It all remains a complete mystery to me and that is what compels me to keep working.

BOBBETTE ROSE ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Inspired by the relationship between the natural world and the human order we try to create from it, I'm drawn to
the inherent beauty and spirit revealed in our post-industrial landscapes. There is a delicate balance between
the natural forces, human impulse and spiritual mystery. I explore the edges where they meet and what lies
beneath the surface, within the context of growth, decay, memory and the passage of time. My work mixes the
ancient with the contemporary, finding new meanings in age-old materials and processes using mineral pigments, egg tempera, and beeswax.
