Artist Statement

Life is a very interesting journey. My art is about telling stories some myths others metaphors from living. There are animals as well as sometimes people to talk about. Balance in nature and the fragility of life are ever present. There is always a perpetual struggle for survival and need to adapt
to change.
I was fortunate for so many things especially studing with my mentor Warrington Colescott.
He inspired me to be an artist. The large prints were possible because of two people Scott Stephns and my printer Nikki Hogan. The smaller prints were recently made 2008-09. The theme of people and birds has to do with spirit reflections. In 2007 I had return of breast cancer after eighteen years. The prints help me focus on living. At this point both mind and body are doing well.
